Cirque Du Mort: Volume Two

Curiosities and characters to astound and amaze. An intricate automaton with a soul. A skeletal girl under a curse. A travelling scientist doomed to punishment by the gods. Meet all these and more in Volume Two of Cirque Du Mort.

Cirque Du Mort: Volume Two is a horror anthology from the mind of Anastasia Catris. This rich collection of gruesome short stories, poems and artwork is inspired by the history of the circus and the ghosts who haunt it.

Returning to the circus after five years, Anastasia Catris released the highly anticipated sequel to Cirque Du Mort in October 2020 after a successful Kickstarter campaign in September of the same year.

Cirque Du Mort: Volume One

Cirque Du Mort: Volume One is the debut collection of gruesome short stories by Anastasia Catris. These ten highly illustrated tales center around the macabre inhabitants of a haunted circus and share how they came to haunt it. From the tragic to the ridiculous, the romantic to the horrific, each character in the cursed carnival has a story to tell.

Meet Felicity and Mallory, the famous Janus Sisters. They shared a womb, a life, a liver, a grave… Or Mimi the Mime. Once a chatty clown – she just couldn’t hold her tongue. So someone held it for her…

Roll up! Roll up! Enter if you dare. The greatest show NOT of this Earth.

This volume is packed with incredibly stunning illustrations and back stories… Anastasia shows so much diversity from story to story and it’s intoxicating!.. It speaks to my love and appreciation for all things morbid to the letter. I love how you can keep picking this up and find something new to lust over every single time. I can’t wait for volume 2!!

TheBookishCrypt in praise of Volume One

Cirque du Mort is a wonderful mix of Victorian gothic, ghost stories and murder mystery, all wrapped up with stunning illustrations that rival the colour pallet of any Baz Luhrmann film... With lavish illustrations done in rich colours to counterbalance the dark tales within, Cirque du Mort is a stunning collection of short stories to delight and haunt everyone.

Geek Syndicate in praise of Volume One

The combination of illustrations along with the dark tales makes this book a collector’s item every horror fan should own. With great discipline and perfectly spaced detail, Catris reminds us why the circus is such a great source of horror... From the first page the reader gets swept up in the darkness through her perfect illustrations. They are beautiful and haunting at the same time, while tying into the theme as if it’s a parchment sent from an alternative history.
